few times per month.
Solution
We purchased 200 Travel Certificates and

would be having a drawing for free travel
certificates just for attending the seminar.
Results

Our Marketing Challenge
Every year we look for a way to bring in more
referrals for our tax preparation services.
Since 95% of our business relies on referrals we
have always offered a reward to the clients that
send us referrals.
In the past we gave a $25 certificate good at
local restaurants. Somewhere along the way, I
don’t recall exactly how, we ended up with a
Travel Certificates. We did some research online
and found Travel Certificates and thought we
would give them a try as they were very
affordable.
Solution
We purchased 700 Travel Certificates and offered
them to any clients that referred two new
clients during tax preparation season,
January-April, 2007.
Result
We ran the promotion for 4 months and ended the
tax season with over 300 new clients! We are
very satisfied with the Travel Certificates as a
marketing tool and will definitely be using them
again in the future.

Our Marketing Challenge
I own a high-end water purification systems
company and was looking for a way to get into
homes for the owners to listen to a 30-minute
presentation about our systems.
Solution
I learned of Travel Certificates while at a
charity event a few years ago and thought I
would give them a try. We purchased 3,000 of the
Travel Certificates and created flyers that were
passed out to homeowners in new neighborhoods.
We advertised that for listening to a 30-minute
presentation we would give them a travel
certificate, no strings attached.
Result
We got into 50% more homes by using this
marketing program and turned 50% of those
presentations into sales. Since our units range
in price up to $5,000 this promotion has paid
